Administration

Brandon Jennings, PharmD, BCACP

Executive Director

I joined the SHC in January 2016 as a clinical faculty member with Shenandoah University and for nearly two years I helped to run the clinical pharmacy service at the clinic.  In October 2017, I moved into the Executive Director position.  My favorite parts of working at SHC are the opportunities to help a patient live a healthier life and getting to work with such an amazing and caring team.

I attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia for my pre-pharmacy education, Doctor of Pharmacy degree and pharmacy residency program.  Immediately following residency, I accepted a pharmacy faculty position at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.  In this role, I helped to teach pharmacy students/residents and develop clinical pharmacy services for eight years.  In the fall of 2015, my family and I moved back to Virginia so I could join the faculty at Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy where I stayed until my full-time move to the SHC.

I live in Winchester with my wife and two daughters.  In my free time, I am usually found reading or watching some sort of sports on television (especially baseball rooting for the Baltimore Orioles!).

I joined the SHC team in December 2011.  My favorite part of working at SHC is being a part of a team that is making a difference in our community.  My co-workers inspire me every day. The kindness and compassion of our team is amazing.

My education and career up to this point has been in finance/accounting.  Recently I have taken on other roles within the clinic that have given me the opportunity to grow professionally.

I’m a wife and a mother of three; two in college and one in the United States Air Force.  In my spare time I love to travel, hike, and spend time with my beautiful family.

I joined the SHC in November 2018 as Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director.  My favorite part of working at SHC is being part of an amazing and dedicated caring team, who are helping people live a happier and healthier life by giving back to the community every single day. I believe my role and contribution helps others achieve that goal.

I attended John Howard School for Girls in London, England and Bletchley College with a certificate in Administration Management.  I live in Winchester, Virginia with my husband, my dog Emma and cat Angel.  I am an ardent animal lover of all kinds and a strong supporter of animal rights. Community Health Workers

Sara Van Heukelum, RN, BSN

Community Health Worker Coordinator

I became a volunteer with the Community Health Worker program in May 2017, and soon after assumed the role of CHW coordinator.  I love serving our community through the CHW program at the Sinclair Health Clinic.  We get to help our clients connect to needed community resources, educate regarding healthy living, and support them in the goals they set for their lives.

I obtained my bachelor of science in nursing from Cedarville University in Ohio.  My nursing background is in medical-surgical, orthopedics, and trauma.  I volunteered extensively with free clinics in the USA and in Bolivia, South America where we lived for nearly 3 years.  I have also completed a 200-hour certified yoga teacher training with Subtle Yoga focused on teaching that adapts to the needs of people who have experienced trauma.

My family greatly enjoys traveling all over the world, experiencing the richness of different cultures.  I love to read a good book, cook interesting food, and spend time with friends and family who make me laugh.
