“This designation enhances our ability to fund lifesaving care and treatments for those who would otherwise have limited access to quality healthcare.”
Sinclair Health Clinic (SHC) announced that it has received GuideStar’s coveted Platinum Seal of Transparency. GuideStar is the world’s largest source of nonprofit data and this designation demonstrates that SHC is an organization focused on measuring our progress and results to provide current and potential funders accurate and detailed information. The designation is only awarded to charities illustrating the highest level of responsible fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency.
Founded in 1986, Sinclair Health Clinic has served the medically underserved and uninsured residents of the City of Winchester, Frederick County, and Clarke County. We help our patients live fuller, healthier, and more productive lives. SHC prevents blindness and nerve damage by getting diabetic patients the insulin and medical care they need. SHC helps babies be born healthy through full-term prenatal care. SHC detects cancer before it spreads. And SHC silences the voices that plague people with schizophrenia and treat the hidden traumas that disrupt mental wellness.
SHC Executive Director, Katrina McClure, added, “I am proud of our ongoing efforts towards full financial transparency. It is crucial for financially trustworthy and responsible non-profits. This designation enhances our ability to fund lifesaving care and treatments for those who would otherwise have limited access to quality healthcare.”
In today’s ever-changing philanthropic environment, donors seek transparency and accountability from the organizations they choose to support. The GuideStar’s Seal of Transparency reconfirms that SHC is worthy of its donors’ confidence and generosity.
