Since day one the clinic has made healthcare available to those in need within our community and has been staffed by volunteers. The clinic continues to evolve and changes to meet the needs of our community but one need is constant, we need volunteers from the community to help support the medical side of the clinic. The spirit of volunteerism is truly a rewarding experience.
“I volunteer at the clinic because I find something incredibly satisfying about giving back to the community. For me, it is a privilege to be able to contribute to benefit another person. I feel that my service has had a lasting and a positive impact, both to myself and the community. Today, after being a volunteer for more than 6 years my passion for the community and the clinic has grown. I’ve learned that it is not what you get that matters but what you give.”
Paul Peters, Volunteer Coordinator
The Sinclair Health Clinic provides an array of medical services at little or no cost to low-income, uninsured individuals in Winchester, Frederick, and Clarke Counties Virginia and relies heavily on its volunteer team. Volunteers provide a wide variety of essential services and administrative assistance, supporting the medical staff, allowing them the time and ability to focus on patient care.

Put the Fun Back in Fundraising
Sinclair Health Clinic experiences an uncertainty in funding sources and needs to constantly fundraise to keep services and programs active.
The Sinclair Health Clinic is successfully changing lives and transforming our community’s health one patient at a time. However, our biggest challenge is fundraising. Our fundraising volunteers play an important role in keeping our doors open to the community. Are you a mover and shaker? Do you have ideas for a fundraising event? Are you well organized? Are you self-motivated? We need people who are passionate and enthusiastic to focus their talents on supporting the Sinclair Health Clinic’s fundraising effort. Our fundraising committee is a part of our public face, promoting the work we do within the community while developing sponsors. Interested? join our fundraising committee and be a superhero!

Duties include calling patients with reminders, chart work, scheduling patients, and basic clerical work.
Patient Eligibility Intake:
Volunteers are needed to screen new patients and recertify existing patients to determine their eligibility.
Do you have bilingual proficiency in English and at least one other language (especially Spanish)? We serve an ethnically and culturally diverse area where English isn’t the home’s first language. We need translators.
